Embroidered Quilt Labels & Shirts

My Funday Monday today consisted of getting needed tasks completed.

Embroidering a logo on a knit shirt.
I have a case of apparel I need to embroider that is due this week for someone.  I also had a couple of shirts that have been overdue to return as well.  I have a tutorial on how I embroider on a knit shirt here.

My Funday Friend, Kathleen, made a cute teacher's Christmas gift pencil cup for her son's teacher.  Then she completed the binding on a quilt for her nephew born last week on 12/12/12.  How cool is that birthdate??

A couple of quilts are being given as gifts this Christmas, so I embroidered a label for Kathleen, and also embroidered a label for DD2 Americana quilt.

Kathleen has a fondness for hand-stitching, so we kept the barter where I machine-stitch for her, and she'll hand-stitch for me.  In this case, I did machine-embroider for her label, and she attached the label for DD2's quilt.

Kathleen attached the label to her Jelly Roll 1600 Race quilt that we did at a workshop last spring.  This is the same quilt I did my first quilting on with my Sweet 16.  She is giving this one to her ailing mother-in-law.

Label for DD2's quilt
My 11 year-old DD2 had created this Americana-theme quilt as a gift earlier this year.  It is now ready to send to her cousin in Germany for Christmas.  I'll bring it to the post office first thing in the morning.

So we had a good Funday and got plenty done.  To top it off Kathleen gave me a little Christmas gift of a ceramic trinket box in a vintage sewing machine design.  Awesome!  My little gift to her wasn't nearly so craft-inspired, but that's OK too.  :-)

Happy Stitching!

    1. Thanks Connie. I hadn't really embroidered any labels before, but they are quick and easy to do if you have an embroidery machine. Thanks for hosting the Linky Party. :-)

    1. Thanks Judy,
My labels were pretty basic, I'd love to see what others do with embroidered quilt labels.
      Happy New Year!
