|Quilt done by embroidery in this class.|
Here is the description of this class:
Did you ever think that you would be able to sit at a home embroidery sewing machine and quilt? With photos and step by step instructions, Joanne will show you how to use your embroidery module to quilt. Students will construct a 30" x 30" simple one block quilt with wide borders to accommodate the feather border quilting designs. This method is especially nice for hands that no longer enjoy moving the quilt under the machine manually. Embroidery designs included with this class are: a large triangle, small double triangle, center design and multihooped feather corner border design. These designs were digitized using software that automatically sequences the designs so there are no jump stitches. Skill level: Intermediate to Advanced. Students should have experience with rotary cutting and piecing a simple quilt and also be comfortable using their embroidery module. This is not a beginner class. Four Lessons.
I haven't spent much time in my sewing room this summer. Just not up for it, I guess. I'm on to the next phase of my treatment now, and I'm in for radiation therapy this week. I'm hoping I can at least read the first lesson instructions while at the doctor's office. After the radiation therapy is done, I'll be in isolation for several days. Lots of time for reading then. I'll be ready to get my quilt on when all my therapy is done. Positive thoughts! ☺
