I did my first all-over stipple quilt. This is Kathleen's Jelly Roll Race quilt for charity from WebFabrics. If you haven't done a Jelly Roll Race before, it is a lot of fun. I'll have to share our Jelly Roll race experience in a future post.
Back to FNSI...

Overall, I love my HQ Sweet 16! It is a lot of fun, and I really enjoy having the 16" of space to quilt. I definitely need the table space to the sides of the machine to rest the quilt on as it would have pulled quite a bit under the needle otherwise.
Friday Night Sew-In was good. I'll definitely sign up again.
Happy Stitching!
That must have been so nice to share FNSI with a real time friend. Lovely quilting and block.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by Michelle. I'm up for FNSI again. :-)
DeleteIt looks great, and it's always SEW MUCH FUN when we have someone to sew with!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle. Sewing Friends do make it more fun!
DeleteYour sweet 16 sounds like an amazing machine. It's name really makes me smile. Beautiful quilts. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ali!
DeleteLooks like you're off to a great start with your new machine. I absolutely love the creativity that longarm quilting allows. So glad you had fun quilting your jelly roll quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy it a lot. I'm looking forward to spending lots of time learning it well. :-) Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteSylvia, Great job on the quilting. Before you know it you will be doing all kinds of fancy quilt designs. How nice that you were able to share an evening of sewing with a friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks June. It is more fun and keeps me motivated. :-)
DeleteThanks for tagging me Sylvia. My husband just got laid off work and I've been working tons of overtime for weeks but I'll get to it soon, I promise! Looks like you made a great deal on the barter and with the stippling!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
DeleteSo sorry to hear of your husband's job loss and your work overload. Looking forward to seeing your blog updates soon. Take care in the meantime!
Sylvia
