Original Sew & Quilt Expo - Bread & Butter

I went to the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo in Chantilly, VA last night for the Bread and Butter class taught by Dusty Farrell.  I've seen his work before and liked it, so I was looking forward to hearing him speak about the business of quilting.   He doesn't look like someone you would expect to be a professional quilter, but he is quite an artist.

Dusty provided his quilting order form and 10 different basic designs that are simple and effective.  Lots of good info was shared!  Makes me want to get a long arm!

  1. Sylvia, I'm new to your site and a baby stepper quilter. However, I did take the big plunge and buy the sweet 16. so far It works great. I'm 61 so why did I wait so long to start this great hobby? I guess there is a time for everything. I'm so pleased I looked at your sewing room with the 16 sitting in it. I did not think of putting it up against the wall and now I can have my room like I wanted it and keep my ironing board sitting up. Love your site. Debi from Mo.
