What's been under my needle?

I have done projects the past several months.  Mostly smaller projects, but anything worth doing is worth sharing.  :-)  Here are some of my favorite recent projects...

Free So Sew Easy Bag
This has become a favorite pouch for my high school daughter to use for her pencils and pens.  I made her one of these a couple of years ago, and it has become very well worn in three years of daily use.
You may be able to see the original bag made several years ago in the top left photo.
This pattern is from So Sew Easy and is called their FREE Easy Cosmetics Bag.
There is even a YouTube video available that walks you through the construction of this bag.  You can find it here.

I used Duck Canvas for the outside fabric found at Hobby Lobby:  Dakota Cadet Linen Duck Cloth Fabric and Timberwolf Gray Dakota Printed Duck Cloth.
I used quilters cotton fabric for the inside lining, and a cotton batting for the padding.

Straw Sun Hat Embroidery
Did you know you could embroider on a sun hat?  I gave that a try recently.  I purchased this hat in the Spot the Savings area of Target.  The embroidery worked like a charm.  My only recommendation is to make sure you curve your wording enough to go around the brim.

The font I used is called Honey Script that I purchased from Digitizing with Love on Etsy.
The sun image came from the Sun & Moon design pack from Artistic Thread Works.

Chemo Cap Head Scarfs
For a friend of my sister.  Soft comfortable head scarfs.  I have directions for these scarfs here.

Baby Baby
I made a stuffed bear and personalized a blanket purchased at Target.

Virginia Tech Pride
Made a few school pride items for Virginia Tech include key fobs and a zipper case (Anita Goodesign).
The font on the zipper bag is Niagara Monogram from Sweet Embroidery on Etsy.
The VT logo on the bag, I digitized myself.

Happy Stitching!
