Organized Scrappy BOM - Blocks 2 & 3

So happy I got a few things done for my Funday(s).  Completed are blocks 2 and 3 for the January blocks of WebFabric's Organized Scrappy BOM.

First up, Block 2, which is a flying geese block by Minick & Simpson.  I thought it was a pain to keep  this block straight with all the little seams, but that is probably just me and my quirk.

Next up is Block 3, which is an 8-pointed star by American Jane.  This one used templates and wasn't too bad once I stitched the side blocks correctly.

January blocks are finished.  I may actually keep up with this project this year.  :-)

Organized Scrappy BOM - January Blocks 1, 2 & 3

My DD2 kept me company in my sewing room with a sock monkey project she was working on.

Also got a little embroidery done.  I found these fleece jackets on clearance at our local Target for $7.50.  Size and color choices were limited, but I found 3 blacks ones for myself and my two oldest daughters.  Since they've gotten to the age where they steal borrow my clothes, I decided I would monogram these with our names so we know whose jacket is whose.  I used black cut-away stabilizer and silver Pacesetter polyester thread.  Also put some wash-away topping to keep the stitches on top of the fabric.

Monogrammed jackets for myself and two of my daughters.

I'm sharing this on Funday Monday,  Linky Party Tuesday, and Minutes for Me.

Happy Stitching!!
