Funday - Organized Scrappy BOM - Block 4

Kathleen getting started.

My friend Kathleen and I got together for our Funday today.  We had a shorter amount of time, but I did complete block 4 from WebFabric's Organized Scrappy BOM for February.

My half-square triangles, all chain stitched together.

Block 4 is by Primitive Gatherings.  This one went well for me, except for the last row.  I tried to adjust it, but was getting frustrated, so I decided to let it be for now.  Maybe I'll try to get those points aligned  just right later. :-)

Scrappy Organized Block 4

This month has another block (#5).   There is a new local quilt group forming that I will try next week. It is called the Queen Bee Quilting Club.  It is not a guild, and will not cost anything to join.  It is just an evening get-together to spend some time quilting with others (of all skill levels) who enjoy the same.  I'll save Block 5 for that evening.

I'm sharing this at my Funday Monday this week.  What are you working on??

Happy Stitching!!

  1. Both the Funday and a new quilting bee sound like fun. Think I might check out this BOM though I am already doing two.

  2. Great blocks and I think your points look wonderful! Thanks for sharing.

  3. The idea of having a group to enjoy quilting with sounds like so much fun.

  4. Great blocks, a great idea getting together, I got a lot more done when I had a sewing buddy.

  5. Great block but fiddly it has over 40 pieces in it, yours looks so neat lovely finish to it. Sewing machine in the photo looks intriguing too, what make and year is it?????? Thanks for sharing. Cheers Glenda Down Under
